Happy Independence Day Sammamish! We’ve seen a lot of changes through the years, but one tradition we love is the Fouth on the Plateau celebration at the Sammamish Commons. Live music near city hall starts around 6:00 pm with vendors on site for food and activity booths. The bounce houses are fun for smaller people in the lower commons area.
The fireworks start after 10pm. We like to find a piece of grass on the natural bowl in the lower commons and lay back and enjoy the show. It’s always fun to see so many people turn out and have a great time.
Parking can be a challenge, so consider arriving early and plan to walk. Some neighbors provide parking for a fee. Nearby schools, businesses and community organizations also have parking available.
The weather this year will be cool, but they are still predicting dry. Bring a blankey and be prepared for anything.
