Silent Sunday, Acres of Daffodils in La Conner WA

Silent Sunday, Acres of Daffodils in La Conner WA

 Yellow Carpet of Daffs

The annual Tulip Festival runs April 1-30 this year, but a warm wet winter has lots of flowers coming up early.  The Roozengaarde display gardens were alive with hyacinth which filled the air with their incredible aroma.  If you are planning a trip in 2010, come early as I believe the Tulips blooms will peak early.

WOW!  That is incredible and beautiful!  I remember growing up in California and seeing the fields of flowers there.  One of my fondest childhood memories.  Now I get to live, work and play in the Texas Hill Country where the wildflowers are currently in bloom!  Spring is awesome!

Very lovely!  I have never seen a field in bloom liketht.  I thought of you yesterday at my son's high school track meet - Snohomish high school was there too!  Wondered if any of these kids in red were yours!

Jeani, I've never been to the Texas Hill Country, only through the pan handle where a gopher hole was visible on the horizon.  I'd love to see the wildflowers you have blooming.

Janna, This is just the beginning.  In a couple of weeks the Tulips will all be blooming and the fields will be filled with a variety of color.  Snohomish is about 40 minutes north of Sammamish, but they are both fun to say.  If I'm ever over that way, I'll be sayin hi.

Oh, I forgot to mention, that is Mt. Baker peaking over the hills.

That is a lot of daffodils!  Is this a flower grower who ships to retailers?  Beautiful to see.

A sight like that has got to be good for a lift, no matter what kind of day you are having. I'd love to see what  the rest of the festival looks like. Please post some tuplips, Dan, as they come up. There are so many beautiful varieties.

Daffs are my favorite flowers. This amazing field is a sight for sore eyes after a brutal winter.
